Deva attends her first bar mitzvah - we had no experience of just how profound this rite of passage can be...

Our dear friend, mystic jeweller and mantra bead creator Ami Ben-Hur and his beautiful family, celebrating his son Eden's bar-mitzva (Eden is the one with the birdnest hair!)...Ami's beautiful daughter, Joy is on his right, and devoted wife Tamar on his left. No wonder he looks so happy! To see this beautiful family honouring their young son was a joy to the heart.

Wow! Deva found this in the back yard the other morning ... Monty Python (who lives on our roof) sheds his skin...as we all do, one way or another!

The Gayatri Fund beloveds - Eva, Kurt and Ilanit - Swedish, German and Dutch - these dear friends take care of making sure all your donations for Nepal arrive in the right place and give the most help - Eva actually lives most of the year in her beloved Nepal...

Living in community was always intrinsic to Osho's vision - here in Byron Bay we have this opportunity - many are gathered here to share and live together - Here with friends Laurie and Brendan's family we feed their pet lamas...

Over in California, Manose celebrates his community and sent us this photo of our sweet Karuna unwrapping her Christmas gifts

Soul teacher Catherine Ingram has just moved to the area from USA - we welcomed her with a delightful evening together, some pasta (she has Italian roots ;0) and marked the occasion with a selfie

Madhubala has been Deva's beloved friend since they first met in 1988. Last year Madhubala was diagnosed with ALS (moto-neuron disease). Due to muscle deterioration she has lost the ability to speak, hence the note pad on her lap. To be with her is to be in presence of Grace. Her husband Timothee is by her side night and day, caring for her with the utmost dedication and love. The community holds them in its embrace, sending food and day care. Please keep her wellbeing and health in your hearts and prayers.

We took Madhubala for a visit to the beach - here she is with Timothee, enjoying the sea breezes

Another example of the strength of community here - our friend Rani was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. Rani is a soul warrior and refused chemo - instead she threw the best party ever! We gathered to celebrate her life and times - with music, dance, the best tequila... and of course, some words from Osho. Miten dubbed Rani the Keith Richards of sannyas and it stuck! ...she loves to party, she doesn't hold back and she is one fearless woman.

Of course we sang for her - We chose that great song by the Rolling Stones (naturally!) to honour the occasion: "You Can't Always Get What You Want" (but if you try sometimes you just might find, you get what you need...). Rock on, Rani Ma xx
